THE LIVANI SERIES
Licked by fiery flames and shrouded in ash, these abstract sculptures have been wood-fired in a Noborigama kiln and bear the results of ancient traditions. Like incense with its resinous cracked surfaces in burnt blacks and browns, smoke ascends, and my ceramic forms curl upwards, heightening desire, conveying positive energy and attempting to communicate with the divine.
